How to find and book a padel court in the UK

With over 1,000 padel courts now open across the UK, finding one near you has never been easier. Here's the quickest route to getting on court:

What to expect at your first court visit

Most courts rent equipment — so don't worry about bringing your own racket for a first visit. Courts are typically booked in 90-minute slots and cost between £12–£25 per person depending on location and time of day.

Weekday daytime slots are usually cheaper and easier to get. Weekend evenings are the busiest — book ahead if you can. Most venues on Playtomic allow booking up to 7 days in advance.

Indoor vs outdoor courts

The UK has a mix of both. Indoor courts are glass-walled and enclosed — perfect for year-round play and the most common type at dedicated padel venues. Outdoor courts are often found at tennis clubs and leisure centres — cheaper but weather dependent. For beginners, indoor is recommended as the ball behaves more consistently.
